Hope In the Age of Worry

I have never been more thankful for the hope I have in Christ as I have been these past few years and even now as the world continues to fall apart in big ways.

None of this is a surprise to God. As I consider the darkness of war stirring in Europe, I see in the spiritual realm a large covering of sorts like a canopy, over Russia. The covering is suppressing the destruction and limiting its power. God has not gone anywhere, He is here with us fighting this war. 

“He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46:9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

He is also at work stirring up his church. He is stirring a spiritual revival in the hearts of His people.

 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭41:10‬ ‭NIV‬

When the Creator lives in your heart and holds your destiny in His hands there is nothing to fear, not even death. I have never been more aware of this truth.

Put your hope in Christ. He is ready and waiting for you. 

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Hot Dog Party

"Do you want a cracker?" I said as we sat in the truck waiting. "No," said my now two year old son. "Do you want some water?" I said. "No," he chirped back. I tried again, "Do you want your truck?" "No!" he said again getting a little annoyed. My distraction technique was majorly striking out as I attempted to deter him from wanting to get out of his car seat. I needed to come up with something clever. So I said, "Do you want a hot dog party!?" "Yeah!" he answered enthusiastically. Score! I had gotten him to answer back in a positive way and in my amusement I couldn't help but laugh. However, now I had to deliver somehow. Preparing for a Peace-Filled & Relaxed Birth

 My baby is now 9 months old. She is learning to crawl, standing up, and has grown two teeth. Finally, I am getting back to the post I started writing when I was 35 weeks pregnant. It's still worth posting. Someone needs to be encouraged. I think us mama's and mama's to be, need all the encouragement we can get. For, the job of Mom is very difficult, and yet, is of the upmost importance. April 2024 As I sit here and write this, I am currently about 35 weeks pregnant with my fourth baby. My mind and body have been pre-occupied with the upcoming change and new life that will soon enter my arms, our family, and the world. Even after having three pregnancies, labors, and deliveries my mind is just as vulnerable to the unsettling feeling of the unknown that labor and delivery can be.
