The Cow Loves Cookies

One of my absolute favorite things to do as a mom is read books to my son. Bedtime is such a treat (well after our regular fight with the toothbrush-that is) because I get to hold my sweet little boy in my lap, rock him back and forth, kiss his head and read the stories he picks out. And boy does he have particular taste! So, when I find a new book that he likes I find it to be a great success!

Our long overdue recent trip to the library sent us home with this gem, "The Cow Loves Cookies". I was planning not to check out any books this time because I didn't want to risk more overdue library fees, but after seeing this one I couldn't just leave it there. My son is almost 2 years old and has a particular interest in animals sounds so this one is a favorite of his right now. The illustrations are so whimsical and carefree that I wish I could jump right in and experience this joyful glee that the farmer in this book displays. A cow that loves cookies is such a cute story-not sure when my son will learn the truth about whether or not cows in real life eat cookies-for now let the imagination soar!

We have had such joy in reading this book that I had to share it with you! Perhaps you have a little one who might climb into your lap and have you read this book - you might be that lucky :-)
